🟢 Tooheys Pilsener / Export Lager (1930s) — Original Australian Lithographic Advertising Poster by Walter Lacy Jardine (signed)

An outstanding piece of Australian brewing and advertising history — this original 1930s Tooheys Pilsener / Export Lager lithograph was designed by Walter Lacy Jardine and printed by William Brooks & Co. Ltd., Sydney. Jardine’s clean realism and refined palette capture the aspirational style of inter-war Australia, lifting everyday products like beer into modern commercial design. His work for Tooheys, Arnott’s and Qantas is now held in major national collections.

This example is a wholly lithographed print with the plate-signed “Walter Jardine” mark and the printer’s credit “Wholly lithographed & produced in Australia by William Brooks & Co. Ltd.” clearly visible at the lower margin.

Condition
Excellent vintage colour and clarity with no creasing or staining visible in the image area. Margins show light, even age toning consistent with 1930s stock paper. Original silver-tone timber frame with glass intact, mild edge wear and rear moisture marks (rear only). Backing board and original framer’s label retained. Overall strong presentation and ready to display.
