Resch’s KB Lager (1950s) — Original Large Format Australian Linen-Backed Lithographic Advertising Poster by Alan D. Baker (Signed)
A rare and striking Australian beer poster from the 1950s, illustrated by Alan D. Baker for Resch’s Long Bottle Pilsener. The scene shows a smiling golfer under the catchline “Now for the best round of all…”, capturing the post-war optimism and relaxed Australian tone of the era. Printed by William Brooks & Co., Sydney using true stone lithography, with the depth, saturation and hand-drawn transitions typical of Baker’s commercial work.
A strong example of mid-century Australian advertising art, showing the colour strength and airbrushed gradients that distinguish original lithographs from later mechanical reproductions.
