**French Copper Saucepan Set (7-Piece) — c.1900
Professional Batter ie de Cuisine**
History
A magnificent graduated set of seven antique French copper saucepans dating to around 1900. Each pan is straight-sided, made from heavy-gauge copper and fitted with its original riveted cast-iron handle featuring the classic teardrop hanging hole — the unmistakable signature of early French professional cookware.
This is a full nesting set, ranging from a substantial 23 cm pan down to a small individual-sized saucepan. Complete seven-piece sets are rare survivors, especially in matching condition. These were made for serious cooking in large working kitchens — heavy enough for excellent heat retention and control, yet beautiful enough today to display in a French farmhouse kitchen or to anchor a collector’s copper wall.
