**Heavy Gauge French Copper Saucepan Set — c.1900

Sale price$645.00

History

A rare graduated set of five antique French copper saucepans dating to around 1900. With heavy-gauge copper, straight-sided walls and riveted cast-iron handles with traditional teardrop hang holes, this is true professional batterie de cuisine — the type used daily in grand French kitchens during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Unmarked, as many early workhorse sets were, but unmistakably French in proportion and construction. These pans were built for performance, longevity and daily service, not display — which is exactly why sets like this have such strong presence today.

Features

  • Complete graduated set of five pans

  • Heavy-gauge copper typical of professional French cookware

  • Riveted cast-iron handles with classic teardrop hang holes

  • Tin-lined interiors (worn, but re-tinnable if intended for cooking)

  • Early 20th-century French manufacture — circa 1900

  • Strong utilitarian aesthetic with excellent decorative impact

Overall:
A characterful, well-preserved professional set — increasingly hard to find as a complete five-piece group.
