A Clockwork Orange (1971/72) — Original U.S. One-Sheet Movie Poster
Original U.S. one-sheet movie poster from the first American theatrical release of A Clockwork Orange. Designed by Bill Gold’s Warner Bros. advertising department, the image of Malcolm McDowell as Alex DeLarge inside the stylised “A” has become one of the most recognisable visuals in 20th-century cinema marketing. Printed by National Screen Service for Warner Bros. during the film’s initial release window.
This example carries the correct Warner Bros. ©1971 mark and NSS number 72/30, confirming it as an original 1972 theatrical issue rather than a later reprint. Two original snipes remain attached — the “R” rating sticker and the printed “Women” tagline correction — both authentic to the film’s early distribution period.
Condition
Typical light age toning with the vertical and horizontal fold lines expected of original NSS shipments. One minor tear along a fold intersection. Adhesive toning visible around the rating and tagline snipes. Excellent colour retention with no major fading. Framed in a simple black metal frame with mat; some lower-edge moisture staining to the mat only. Glass intact. Overall Good, display-ready condition with the usual theatre wear.
Dimensions
